The price of WTI crude oil exceeded the mark in the bidding on January 6, mark 50 dollars a barrel. At 15:30 Moscow time on February futures were listed at 50.07 dollars, 1.28 dollars more at closing the previous day.
Oil prices are rising against the background of expectations associated with the support of the American economy, as well as assurances of Qatar and Kuwait on the reduction of these oil-producing countries. In addition, quotes influenced and gas conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
The price of oil last year reached a record 147 dollars a barrel in July, then plummeted. By mid-December, it fell to a five-year minimum of 33 dollars. Since then, prices have increased by almost 70 per cent.
