Earlier Naftogaz "for reasons of confidentiality declined to disclose the document. However, the "Ukrainian Truth" have decided to put the text of the treaty in open access on the basis "of public importance" of the document. It should be noted that some lines of the agreement did not appear in the file, the Ukrainian edition.
Previously, it was reported that Russia and Ukraine have agreed that in 2009, the latter will buy Russian gas from 20 per cent discount from the price at which fuel is sold to European consumers. In the first quarter of this year, Russian gas in Ukraine will cost 360 dollars per thousand cubic meters. In the published document the cost of fuel for the Ukrainian side is calculated by a complex formula. In the January-March 2009 as the base cost of gas, of which repel further calculations, is set at 450 dollars per thousand cubic meters. Then gas prices tied to oil prices on the world market with a lag of six to nine months.
The text of the agreement states that in 2009 Ukraine, Russia will send 40 billion cubic meters of gas, and in 2010 - 52 billion cubic meters. In the first quarter of 2009, when the price of Russian gas for Ukraine will be the maximum for the entire year, the Ukrainian side will purchase from Russia, only five billion cubic meters of fuel.
The "Gazprom and Naftogaz" on gas deliveries to Ukraine have completed more than two-gas conflict between countries, which began January 1. Recall 1 January 2009 the Russian side has stopped fuel deliveries to Ukrainian consumers, because Gazprom and Naftogaz "could not agree on a purchase price of gas. January 7, a Russian company to halt the transit of fuel to Europe through Ukraine, accusing "Naftogaz" to illegal tapping of fuel. After signing the agreement January 19, Russia resumed gas supplies in transit.
