Brokers estimated the rate of fall promproizvodstva in Russia in December.

The volume of industrial production in Russia in December 2008 fell by 10.3 percent year on year. This statement was made by Central Bank Chairman Sergei Ignatiev, said RIA Novosti.
Compared with November 2008, promproizvodstvo in Russia grew by 3.8 percent, sends agency Interfax. In general, on the basis of the growth promproizvodstva reached 2.1 percent.
For comparison, in 2007 promproizvodstvo in the country increased by 6.3 percent in December - to 5.7 percent. In November 2008 it had fallen - by 8.7 percent compared with the same period a year earlier. Earlier promproizvodstva decline was recorded in early 1999, said Interfax.
Official data on Rosstat promproizvodstvu in 2008 have not yet been published.
