According to RIA Novosti, Putin proposed to create an international consortium that will acquire the "Gazprom" necessary for the resumption of transit fuel.
The head of Eni, for its part, supported the proposal, describing it as constructive. He promised that, together with his colleagues will start to consider the possibility of creating such a consortium. "This must be done quickly," - added Skaroni.
Previously, Russia has asked Ukraine to send her 1,7 billion cubic meters gas for the transit of gas to Europe. In Gazprom rejected the request.
Deliveries of gas to Europe ended on 7 January, after Russia accused Kiev of stealing transit fuel destined for Europeans. Fuel from Russia have lost more than 18 EU countries. Ukraine itself does not receive Russian gas from January 1, because the parties were unable to agree on the conditions of supply.
On January 17 in Moscow, scheduled the summit to resolve the gas crisis, which will bring together representatives from Russia, Ukraine and the EU.
