Prime Minister of Latvia Ivars Godmanis decided to reduce his salary, and salary Prime Minister's Office, Interfax reports.
Press Secretary to the Prime Vaykulis Edgar told the agency that Godmanis will receive 15 per cent less - 2027 lats (about 3 thousand euros) instead of 2385. Employees of the Bureau of the annual salary reduced by approximately 20 per cent. In addition, this year is not paid vacation and bonuses.
Under the new rules, the salary of the premier adviser on EU Ilse Peterson will be 1658 lats (2,400 euros), Adviser on Finance and Economic Affairs, Armin Sprogisa - 1200 lats (about 1700 euros), Advisor on Education, Culture and Welfare Juris Schmitz - 1275 LVL (about 1800 euros), the premier advisers on foreign policy issues Vilmara Heninsha - 1530 lats (about 2200 euros).
Most innovation touches Legal Adviser Edward Ikvildsa - instead of 1800 lats he will receive a 1200 (about 1700 euros).
Previously, the decision to reduce his salary by 15 per cent took the Sejm deputies.
