The amount of state defense order for 2009-2011, approved by the Government of the Russian Federation, will be 4 trillion rubles, said first deputy chairman of the Military Industrialization Commission of the Government Vladislav Putilin, as cited by RIA Novosti.
He said that 1 trillion rubles will be public investment in mass production of arms and military equipment. In 2009, that figure increased compared to 2008 in 1,6 times.
In addition, Putilin said that in the next three years, Russia will adopt a more than 400 samples of technology. In particular, troops will receive 70 strategic missiles, 30 missiles Iskander, 48 combat aircraft, 60 helicopters, 14 ships, 300 tanks, six unmanned vehicles and more than 2 thousand vehicles.
 This was the first state defense order, which formed not the Ministry of Economic Development, and the military-industrial commission.
Earlier, Vice-Premier Sergei Ivanov said that the state defense order for 2009 is planned at a total cost of 1.3 trillion rubles. He also noted that the MIC businesses fail in the implementation of state defense order, due to staffing crisis and low productivity. In addition, he said, some companies overstate the value of their services.
