Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko announced the evening of March 2, which agreed with Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko that in April-May, the budget figures for 2009 will be revised.
"Changes in the budget - it is the main method of combating the crisis. We have agreed that changes to the budget will be made based on the results of the first quarter" - quoted Yushchenko Ukrainian Pravda.
It was expected that that the budget deficit after its correction will be 3.1 percent of GDP.
Recall that earlier the Prime Minister has repeatedly stated that the main financial document of the nation for 2009 is not subject to revision and will be completed in full.
However, most experts (including - the former head of the Ministry of Finance Victor Pynzenyk) have repeatedly stated that the adopted budget for 2009 was unrealistic, because so much revenue to collect, as scheduled, did not succeed.
Yushchenko, who holds a similar view, in this context, Tymoshenko has repeatedly proposed to submit their proposals for individual articles sequestrable current budget.
