Since the beginning of the year the prices in Russia increased by 4,7 percent.

According to the statistical service, a week from 11 to 16 March, prices in the country increased by 0,2 percent, and since the beginning of March - at 0.6 percent. Most have increased prices for sugar and tea - at 1.9 percent and 1 percent respectively. Beef, frozen fish, rice and pasta went up on average by 0,6-0,7 percent.
At the same time Rosstat notes that lower prices for sunflower oil, which is cheaper per week to 0.5 percent. In addition, the cost has dropped petrol and diesel - to 0,6 and 0,8 percent respectively.
In late February, Assistant to the President of Russia Arkady Dvorkovich said that the outcome of the current year inflation rate could reach 13-15 percent. In 2008, consumer price inflation reached 13.3 percent - a record since 2002.
