The international (gold) reserves of Russia for a week from 6 to 13 March fell to 4.4 billion dollars. This is illustrated by data published by the Central Bank of Russia on the site.
On March 13, 2009 the volume of international reserves of Russia amounted to 376.1 billion dollars. A week earlier, this figure reached 380.5 billion dollars.
During the period from 27 February to 6 March, the country's international reserves decreased by 3.8 billion dollars. However, in early March in the Central Bank said that in February, the pace of reducing the reserves were the lowest since August of last year, that is, for every time of crisis. Last February the reserves fell by 2.82 billion dollars, an increase of 0.73 percent.
The maximum value of almost 600 billion dollars, Russia's reserves have reached in August 2008. However, due to the worsening of the crisis that led to capital outflows from the country stocks of Russia began to decline. A record decline in reserves - more than 70 billion dollars - occurred in October last year. The rate of reduction of reserves has slowed in early 2009 in connection with the termination of a smooth ruble devaluation.
