Sarah Peylin refused financial assistance from Obama.

A former candidate for vice-presidents from the Republican Party, Alaska Governor Sarah Peylin declined from federal funds allocated to States under crisis plan, Barack Obama, to stimulate the economy, reports The Anchorage Daily News.

Peylin agreed to take no more than 30 percent of the proposed level of financial assistance. In particular, she refused to 170 million dollars earmarked for education to support students experiencing financial difficulties.

The decision has caused mixed reactions Peylin. Republicans supported it, arguing that, by adopting state aid, the state sits on the endowment needle, which then would be impossible to get off.

Opponents Peylin put her fault, that for political reasons, she abandoned the tools that could stimulate the state economy, create new jobs.
 
Recall that earlier group of American governors, Republicans refused to grant federal benefits to the unemployed. Conservative governors were unwilling to accept these funds, because the conditions that are included in the plan, legislators, an increase of taxation of business.
