The number of unemployed in Russia grew by 43 thousand per week.

That was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to Chapter MHSD country Tatiana Golikova.
A week earlier Rostrud reported that Russia has registered 2.34 million unemployed. Even at the end of January, unemployment was less than 1,7 million.
According to the latest forecast the Health Ministry, the official unemployment rate in Russia by the end of the year was 2.8 million, bringing the total number of unemployed could reach seven million.
The reason for the growth of unemployment has become an economic crisis, which forced the company to reduce staff to reduce costs. To increase the number of officially registered unemployed could affect increase of unemployment benefits, which the Government announced in autumn 2008.
