Financing the maintenance of the American economy, developed by elected U.S. President Barack Obama, can cost from 675 to 775 billion dollars, reports AFP, referring to the statement by Obama senior adviser David Akselrod (David Axelrod).
Obama has not yet announced details of its plan, but some details are already known. In particular, the U.S. president-elect intends to invest in building and maintaining infrastructure, which will create additional jobs. In addition, part of the money will be spent on reforming the compulsory health insurance.
The world financial crisis, which began in August 2007, raised in the first developed country in the world and, above all, the United States. The American economy, as estimated by the National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) is in a recession since December 2007. U.S. GDP in the third quarter of 2008 decreased by 0.5 percent. Since the beginning of the year U.S. employers cut more than 1.9 million jobs and the unemployment rate was 6.7 percent.
