Medvedev approved the creation of a support fund businesses.

President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev endorsed the idea of establishing a fund to support businesses. It says the newspaper Vedomosti.
Creating such a fund was discussed on 5 December at a meeting with Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, the main theme of which was to support the real sector of the economy in crisis. However, no decision at the meeting was not accepted, and many officials said that nothing had heard about this initiative of the Government.
The Fund, if established, will support enterprises to be included in the list of system-companies. They will receive support in the first place. In all, the list will include up to 200 companies, but the criteria on which the government will select companies have not yet been determined. The newspaper Kommersant said that the fund will be able to provide direct financial support to companies, bypassing the banking system. Now for the support of Russian enterprises are distributed either through the banking system (VTB, Sberbank, Gazprombank), or via goskorporatsiyu VEB.
