In Ukraine, classify data on the decline in GDP.

   State Statistics Committee of Ukraine refused to publish monthly performance indicators of GDP, announcing the move to quarterly publication of this information. This February 17, writes the newspaper Kommersant.
Publication notes that the accounts for January was to demonstrate the serious decline of Ukrainian economy. Independent economists believe that the 2009 drop in GDP of Ukraine shall constitute 8-15 per cent. The government of Yulia Tymoshenko scheduled a much smaller decline - to 0.4 percent.
On transition to monthly publication Gomkostata dynamics calculations on the quarterly GDP has not been announced beforehand. Ukrainian authorities to explain the changes in the statistical agency that the quarterly reporting more credible and reliable. However, some analysts interviewed by Kommersant, consider switching to a new political move. According to them, so the Ukrainian government hopes to hide the fact of the collapse of the economy.
Goskomstat waived monthly publication reports only on some sectors of the economy. According to these reports, in January 2009 in the construction of the decline recorded in 57.6 per cent in the transport sector - at 35.1 per cent in retail trade - on 7,8 percent.
