In Azerbaijan's economy started to decline.

State Statistical Committee of Azerbaijan on 18 February issued a January report, which indicates that the country's economy started to decline, said Day.Az.
So, according to Goskomstat, the volume of GDP produced in Azerbaijan amounted to 1 billion 860 million manat (2 billion 306 million dollars), an increase of 2.6 per cent lower than in the same month last year.
In January, an increase of value added in the oil sector of the economy over the same period last year to 2.8 per cent, its share in GDP increased c 35,6 percent in January 2008 to 47.9 percent in January 2009 on.
42,1 percent of GDP was produced oil and gas sector, net taxes on production and imports amounted to 10 per cent of GDP.
Recall that in recent years, Azerbaijan has demonstrated a record growth rate of GDP over the entire post-Soviet space. For example, in the first half of 2007, it rose rose 35.1 percent over the same period in 2006.
