In Ukraine, a record cheaper seeds.

The average price of sunflower seeds in Ukraine in January 2009 decreased by 62,1 percent compared with prices in January 2008 on, reported on Monday UNIAN. The volume of sales of this type of product grew by 2.5 times.
According to State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, the average price of crop in January 2009 decreased by 46 percent compared with January 2008, but rose by 3 per cent on December.
Thus, the average selling price of wheat for the year fell by 40.6 percent, rye - by 44,2 per cent, barley - at 43.3 percent. At the same time prices for the last two culture declined by almost a quarter compared with December 2008.
With lower prices the sales of crop production for the year increased, with some positions in a number of times. Recall earlier Ukrainian State Statistics Committee reported that industrial production in Ukraine, on the basis of 2008 declined by 3.1 per cent, while GDP growth reached 2.1 percent.
