By February 11, 2009 the number of unemployed amounted to 1807 million, while the 3 February, there were 1735 million. The federal budget for 2009, the main parameters of which are now being reviewed, provide unemployment at 1.6 million.
In late January 2009, Deputy Minister of Health and sotsrazvitiya Maxim Topilin said that by the end of the year without work will remain seven million Russians. The number of officially registered unemployed reached 2.2 million.
