Prime Minister of Poland Donald Tusk has invited the leaders of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe to conduct their own summit on the crisis. This writes the European Voice.
At the invitation of the Polish prime minister, a meeting could take place in Brussels on the morning of March 1, before the start of a pan-European anti-crisis summit. It was expected that negotiations will be attended by leaders of the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Invited by the President of the European Commission Jose Manuel Barroso.
The meeting is planned to develop a common position of Central and Eastern Europe with regard to measures to counter the global crisis, which will be discussed at a European summit. According to the Polish Minister for European issues ÐœÐ¸ÐºÐ¾Ð»Ð°Ñ Dovgelevicha (Mikolaj Dowgielewicz), you must ensure that the economic situation in the country, recently joined the EU, will be taken into account.
