Governor of California Arnold Schwarzenegger sued the chief inspector of finance, John Chang (John Chiang), refused to send an unpaid leave of more than 15 thousand civil servants, informs Associated Press.
Earlier, Schwarzenegger has ordered more than 200 thousands of the state to take up to two days per month vacation at his own expense. In his view, by June 2010, it will bring to the treasury of California 1,3 trillion dollars.
Meanwhile, the court held that the decision Schwarzenegger does not apply to constitutional officers, who were subordinate to Chan.
This is not the first conflict between the governor, a Republican, and the Inspector-democrat. In July 2008, Schwarzenegger declared an intention to reduce the salaries of civil servants to a minimum at 6.55 dollars per hour, causing a negative reaction from Chan. The trial in this case has not yet ended.
