The biggest drop in industrial production in the CIS noted at the first two months of 2009 in Ukraine, according to a press release, the Interstate Statistical Committee of the Commonwealth. Compared with the same period of 2008 amounted to 32.8 per cent fall.
Slightly better performance in Moldavia, where promproizvodstvo declined by 26.3 percent. The third line of the worst takes Kyrgyzstan (25.1 percent), while the fourth - Russia (14.6 percent).
Industry of the rest of the CIS has a much higher resistance to the crisis, although the decline was unable to avoid anyone. In Armenia, it was 9.7 per cent in Tajikistan - 6.6 percent, in Kazakhstan - 3.2 per cent, while in Azerbaijan - 2,6 percent. In general, the CIS industrial production fell by 15 percent, while GDP fell by 10 percent. Retail trade turnover decreased by half.

Earlier, the Minister of Finance of Russia Alexey Kudrin predicted CIS economies in 2009, the growth, but stressed that the recovery rates will be significantly lower than in 2008 (5-6 percent).
