Government officials to save 35 billion rubles.

Decrease in the state machinery in Russia will amount to approximately 8 percent, which would enable the Government to save more than 35 billion rubles. The statement was made by the Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin, speaking in the State Duma a report on the outcome of the government in 2008.
According to Putin, the reduction affected the presidential administration, government, ministries and departments.
Previously, it was reported that Russian ministries would reduce their spending in 2009 by an average of 12.5 percent. This decrease was not uniform for all ministries and departments.
Known that the Federation has reduced spending in 2009 to 30 percent by reducing vacancy rates and some other measures. The State Duma has reduced its expenditures by 5,7 percent.
Previously, it was reported that it became known that the state administration of the President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev will be reduced by at least a hundred people. Press-service of the Kremlin clarified that the reduction affected both vacant or occupied by officials of posts. Then stopped hiring in the administration.
