The Georgian government decided to build gas storage, the Internet edition Day.Az. It is anticipated that gas will be erected in the town of Ninotsminda, where gas is extracted.
The volume of the future of storage will be 400 million cubic meters of gas. It was expected that this amount be enough to provide Georgia with gas within two to three months.
Design work on the future of gas storage facilities shall, according to preliminary data, completed in the next nine months. Another two years will require the construction of the facility.
Investor draft has not yet been determined, but will co-finance the work of the U.S. "Millennium Challenge Fund." Previously reported that the fund has already allocated 18 million dollars on a feasibility study the project and its environmental impact assessment.
Now Georgia is provided by gas in the first place through imports of fuel from Azerbaijan. In addition, some gas is supplied to the country from Russia.
