Russia cut gas exports in January-February 2009 to 61.4 per cent over the same period in 2008. Reported in statistical reporting of Federal Customs Service (FCS). Deliveries of gas to CIS countries fell while at 56.4 percent. Total exports amounted to 14.7 billion cubic meters, or about $ 5 billion in cash.
