China will build on the Yangtze more than 20 dams.

By 2020, China intends to build on the Yangtze River for more than 20 dams for the development of hydropower. That was reported by Associated Press on Tuesday, 21 April.
On the Yangtze is already the world's largest hydroelectric power station "Three Gorges", construction of which will be completed by 2010. AP notes that the Chinese government sees the development of hydropower alternative coal (currently 70 per cent of China's energy provide coal energy).
