The Government of Belarus has reduced the income and expenditure budget for the current year a total of 11.1 trillion rubles (more than 132 billion rubles). The Council of Ministers of Belarus proposed to cut spending on road construction and environmental protection, as well as to stop the implementation of six investment programs, said the publication. Is also expected to postpone the completion of 42 programs, and 32 poorly performing programs - to exclude from the budget.
According to Sidorsky, budget this year for his performance would be equivalent to the budget of 2008. Previously planned that in 2009 revenues of Belarus will be 73.9 trillion rubles, expenses - 76.7 trillion, while the budget deficit will reach 2.8 trillion.
Belarusian Prime Minister stressed that the budget for social goals, not only does not decrease, but even be increased. Thus, health expenditure will rise compared to last year at 24.4 percent, and education - 11 per cent. In addition, the new budget is planned growth of real wages by 14 percent.
