Pensions will increase from December, the Russians almost a third.

The basic pension in Russia will be increased from 1 Dec., 2009 to 31.4 per cent rather than at 26.5 percent, as previously planned. Such a statement at a meeting in the Russian Federation Pension Fund (RPF), made the Minister of Health and Social Development of Russia Tatiana Golikova, reports RIA Novosti.
According Golikova, pensions will be increased to ensure that the social pension is equal to the subsistence minimum of a pensioner. In 2008, the pensioner's subsistence minimum was 3,191 rubles.
In mid-February, Chairman of the RPF Anton Drozdov said that this year will be the adjustment of pensions Russians to take account of inflation. In addition, the Russian authorities to revise the budgets of social funds in accordance with the new economic forecast for 2009.
According to the Drozdov, until the end of 2009 will be increased twice the basic pension, as well as to increase the insurance portion of pensions. Since March 1, a basic part of pension plans to bring up to 1950 rubles, and from 1 December - up to 2460 rubles.
Insurance pension from 1 April 2009 is planned to increase by 17.5 per cent, instead of the planned 15.6 per cent. In addition, from 1 August because of rising inflation could be held unscheduled indexation of pension insurance. According Golikova, the insurance portion of pensions may be indexed at 7.5 per cent.
March 17, Drozdov also also said that the budget deficit this year, the RPF will be 315.6 billion rubles. The goal is that the deficit will be offset by additional revenue from the federal budget.
