Russian company Inter RAO UES has resumed deliveries of electricity to China. This is the agency "Interfax" referring to the message, press service of the Government of the Amur region.
Russia has suspended the supply of electricity to China in February 2007 in connection with the sharp increase in export tariffs. In February of this year, "Inter RAO UES has signed an agreement with the state power corporation of China for the export of electricity from Priamurye. The total cost of the project for which the "Inter RAO UES" formed "Eastern Power Company is estimated at 18 billion dollars.
According to the export of electricity through power lines (transmission lines) station "Annunciation" to the Chinese transformation substation "Aygun". At night on the power lines passed 1.4 million kilowatt-hours.
Total for the current year, as expected, Russia will supply China billion kilowatt-hours of electricity. In order to ensure adequate supplies, the Russian side intends to introduce into service the new stations, including Erkovetskuyu Thermal Power Station, Lower Bureyskaya and Lower Zeyskuyu HPS.
