KommentariiOdnim mahom27.01.2009Za day worldwide company laid off 85 thousand people since the beginning of the financial and economic crisis, victims of "hidden unemployment" in Russia were about 645 thousand people. The statement was made first vice-premier Igor Shuvalov, Interfax reports. The term "hidden unemployed" are indicated by the people who work on incomplete schedules or who are on unpaid leave to deal with the employer. According to Shuvalov, the figure in 2009 will grow by a million people.
According to the MHSD, by the end of 2009 will remain out of work seven million people. In doing so, the forecast for the official unemployment is 2.2 million. According to the data for 21 January 2009 in Russia were registered 1.55 million unemployed. Earlier Rostrud reported that the actual number of unemployed in Russia is about six million people.
According to the Ministry of Economic Development, the unemployment rate this year will rise to 7.5 percent. In doing so, the total number of unemployed Russians will be 5,5 million. For comparison, in 2008 the figure was 4.6 million.
