According to the journalists' publications, the data in January 2009 for the FCS will be the worst since the end of 1998, a cumulative drop in revenues in January will be not less than 20 per cent.
Back in November 2008, the growth of customs revenues amounted to 4 percent, and in December - the reduction of customs duties in annual terms amounted to only 2 per cent. "Kommersant" noted that in December 2008 foreign trade turnover of goods decreased by 20 percent, and in January, could shrink by 41 percent.
At the January gathering at the same time reflected the reduction of export duties on oil, reducing the volume of gas exports to the EU because of the gas conflict, the effects of devaluation on importers, collapse of the steel industry, as well as the decrease in exports of mechanical engineering.
The newspaper notes that the FCS has so far not received a plan on customs fees and charges for 2009, which signs a year, with subsequent monthly adjustments. In 2008, TCF had listed in the budget 4616 trillion rubles, exceeded plan on customs duties.
