Russia has granted a stabilization loan of $ 500 million dollars that the country can take to overcome the effects of the global financial crisis. The statement was made by Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, Russia, RIA news. The Minister added that Russia was ready to provide support and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Among the countries to which Russia is ready to assist the Minister of Finance has called Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Armenia. But he added that Belarus will be allocated two billion dollars, and Kyrgyzstan - over two billion dollars. "Currently, we treated other countries", - Kudrin added.
The fact that Armenia has asked a stabilization loan from Russia, was reported Jan. 23, 2009. In addition, the country has also sought the assistance of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD). These included the loan of one billion dollars, which required the Government to counter the global financial crisis.
Earlier, Russia agreed to grant Belarus stabilization loan. And one billion dollars the country received in late 2008 and another one billion dollars received by Belarus in 2009.
