Producer prices in Russia fell by 2.7 per cent.

That was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the Rosstat data. Compared with January of last year decline was 9.2 percent.
Last December, producer prices fell by 7.6 per cent. In Rosstat note that the maximum reduction in prices at 8.4 percent, was observed in November 2008.
Russian manufacturers have begun to reduce prices in September 2008 in connection with an international crisis, sharply reduce the demand for fuel and other commodities. In the fourth quarter of last year, prices of domestic producers collapsed at 20.9 per cent compared with the third quarter. A total of 2008 prices fell by seven per cent. A year earlier, prices, by contrast, grew by 25.1 per cent.
