Income Tax Value Added Tax (VAT) in the Russian budget on the basis of 2008 amounted to 998,4 billion rubles, compared with the previous year fell by 28.2 per cent. This is stated in the official products of the federal tax service (NRF) of Russia.
A total of last year's tax revenue to the federal budget has increased by 8,8 percent and amounted to 4.0787 trillion rubles. In 2007, tax revenues, by contrast, grew by 25 percent.
In doing so, for all taxes except the tax on mineral extraction (NDPI), the rate of charges during the year has slowed down, says the newspaper "Vedomosti". Share NDPI in the total mass of tax revenue in 2008 was 39 per cent VAT - 24 per cent, while profit tax - 19 per cent.
Earlier in the department of economic security of the Russian Federation Ministry of Internal Affairs reported that in the past year, the Russian budget missed more than 50 billion rubles because of crimes related to tax evasion. In addition, the slowdown in tax collection was influenced by the financial crisis.
In December last year, deputy head of the Ministry of Finance Anton Siluanov reported that on the basis of 2009 federal budget will be less than one third of income tax compared to the year 2008. In addition, it is expected that 10 per cent decline in tax revenue from personal income (NDFL).
