The media learned of the revenue shortfalls in the plan budget of Ukraine.

Goskaznacheystvo Ukraine 2 February, 2009 announced updates on the implementation of state budget revenues in January 2009. According to refined data Goskaznacheystva in general and special funds budget was 12.2 billion hryvnia (1.54 billion dollars), that percentage more than the plan. However, the sources of the newspaper "Kommersant-Ukraine reported that the actual performance of revenue into the general fund turned out to less than 14 percent of the targets.
The newspaper writes that revealing updates on the implementation of state budget revenues, Goskaznacheystvo did not provide information on the general fund, and the Ministry of Finance of Ukraine failed to disclose budget information.
According to the Kommersant-Ukraine ", with reference to a source in the Secretariat of Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko, the general fund budget is executed by only 86 per cent - the amount of income was up 10.5 billion hryvnia, but really, it was transferred to 9.07 billion.
In December 2008, Yushchenko signed the law on state budget for 2009. Details signed the document does not clarify, however, reported that the Ukrainian budget will face a deficit as early as February 2009. Deficit budget was adopted by the Verkhovna Rada of December 26, 2008, and limit the deficit was set at 31 billion hryvnia (about four billion dollars).
