January inflation in Russia reached 2.5 percent.

Vegetables and fruits on average went up by 0.8 per cent. The prices of rye bread has not changed. Eggs and oil cheaper for the 1,5 and 0,7 percent respectively. Motor gasoline became cheaper in the half.
According to the Ministry, in January, inflation was up two per cent. For the entire 2009, according to the Minister of Finance Alexei Kudrin, the price should grow by 13 percent. In 2008, inflation stood at 13,3 percent.
