Putin read out a government crisis committee.

Chairman of the Commission to improve the sustainability of Russia's economy was appointed first vice-premier government Igor Shuvalov. In line with the signed, Prime Minister Vladimir Putin, reported Interfax.
In addition to Shuvalov, the commission was composed of 16 persons, including Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin, Vice-Premier Alexander Zhukov and Sergey Sobyanina, chairman of the Bank of Russia Sergei Ignatieva, Minister of Health and Social Development Tatyana Golikova, Assistant to the President Arkady Dvorkovich, chairman of Sberbank German Gref and some other political and business elite.
Putin expressed the need to establish such a commission at the government meeting on 17 December. According to him, it should coordinate the anti-crisis measures of government and the Central Bank.
The Russian economy was among the seriously affected by the global financial crisis. In November, output in the country fell almost 10 percent year on year. In addition, the company conducted a large-scale staff reductions, which would significantly increase unemployment. In the financial area, many banks have been forced to change owners because of a lack of liquidity.
