The IMF singled out Belarus, 2.5 billion dollars.

The International Monetary Fund has allocated 2.46 billion dollars Belarus to cope with the effects of the global financial crisis, sends agency AFP.

Agreement in principle to the allocation of financial assistance to Minsk for a period of 15 months, the IMF has given back in late December after his representatives agreed with Belarus plan to use.

The first tranche of 800 million dollars of Belarus will be able to get in January. Russia, for its part, also promised to provide financial assistance to Minsk in the amount of two billion dollars. The first half of the promised funds have already transferred to the accounts of Belarus.
