Russian gas deliveries through Georgia, which were interrupted because of an accident on the pipeline began to arrive in Armenia, reports RIA Novosti.

The Ministry of Energy of Georgia stated that the accident resulted in serious leakage of gas, so it was decided to turn off the supply of fuel in the pipeline.
Georgia promised to restore gas supplies to Armenia on 12 January. The Armenian authorities have claimed that the population is without a gas supply disruptions due to the accumulated reserves in the country.
Gazprom in Armenia belongs to the company "Armrosgazprom, which has a monopoly on supplying natural gas to the domestic market of Armenia. From 1 April 2009 Armenia will pay for gas supplied from Russia to 154 dollars per thousand cubic meters. This is 40 percent higher than in 2008.
