Bill Gates called on Barak Obama to spend more money.

The founder and former head of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates called the U.S. president-elect Barack Obama to spend more money, despite the financial crisis. Gates stressed that new investments are essential for improving the education system in the U.S., as well as combating diseases in foreign countries, reported the website edition of The Washington Post.
Bill Gates and one of the richest people of the world, said: "During the crisis, a high risk that you will no longer think about the future, and pozhertvuete long-term investments for short-term profits. I think we need a more ambitious goal than simply make the economy again grow. I think we need to increase the number of people who will make a contribution to the economy and earn that. "
Gates, in particular, called on Obama to increase assistance to foreign countries to 50 billion dollars a year (that is half compared with the current) by the end of his first presidential term, by 2012.
Speaking at the University of Washington, Gates called the crisis an excellent opportunity for innovation. The founder of Microsoft, in particular, has compared the current financial crisis with the deplorable situation of the economy in the 1970's, which helped develop information technology in the United States, in particular, the formation of Microsoft. "Hardships can produce excellent idea" - added Gates.
Note that the issue of reducing costs was a key in the campaign for U.S. presidential elections, in particular, the debate between John McCain and Barack Obama. Losing the election of a Republican accusing his rival that he is not going to sufficiently reduce government spending.
